OUR RURAL INITIATIVES
Of the 1020+ independent school districts in the state of Texas, 650 of those districts are designated as rural. In many cases, educational training and support is centered around urban and metropolitan areas, creating a gap between professional opportunities for rural educators and their urban and metropolitan peers.
HCEL is committed to addressing this gap in services by providing multiple learning cohorts and partnerships with rural school districts and rural educators.
ENGAGED SERIES
HCEL, an educational non-profit led by veteran Texas public school educators, is proud to announce our LOLA ENGAGED! series launch for 2021-2022. HCEL operates LOLA, a model/lab school connecting learning to real-life in an academically challenging, hands-on learning environment. Join HCEL for a day of innovative, practical, and purposeful professional learning focused on engaging students in any educational setting. LOLA ENGAGED! for Leaders is specifically designed for campus and district leaders and will assist leaders in creating a culture of engagement and purposeful instruction!

Both trainings are interactive and fast-paced with opportunities to develop engagement strategies which will best serve your school/campus, opportunities to visit engaged classrooms for real-world application and strategies, and opportunities to promote a growth mindset for innovation and engagement!

OUR MISSION

HCEL is committed to rethinking the design and delivery of the educational experience for students and educators, alike. By developing engaging classrooms and school campuses, educators are able to open doors for all students to reach their full potential while increasing their own professional capacity and job satisfaction.
Through a series of services centered around the simple belief that engaged learning creates engaged learners and engaged leaders, HCEL will serve as a partner, a mentor, a model, and an ongoing resource for classroom educators, educational administrators, and educational governing boards.
